I know it’s long awaited by all the NFL pundits. They all wait to hear my opinion, or at least they should lol! Wow! I could have not been more off in my picks last week. I’m just saying that 2012 sucked ass and it is gone. Onward ho (pun intended). Though the Cowboys are not in the mix, I am excited to see the playoffs. Usually I lose interest pretty quickly, but this year, I am interested in a few of the teams. I posted a joke on my facebook. Tony Romo, Eli Manning and Michael Vick all went into a bar…punchline: to see the playoffs. So, here is what I think they will see.
Bengals vs Texans: Um I’m going pretty strong on the Texans. I love the Texans and they are actually in the playoffs. They are not too far from here, and I have rarely met a person from Houston that I do not like. I love the fact that the head coach we fired instead of Jason Garrett, is the Defensive Coordinator the playoffs and has one of the best defenses in the NFL! Dumass Jerrah can ask Coach Phillips if he can get him a seat in the box to watch the game. Now, I will say this, Houston has not played well their past four games, and Cinci has. I am an Andy Dalton fan too. Oftentimes, it’s not whose best but whose hottest. They are playing in Houston though.
Vikings vs Packers: I care the least about this game. It could be a good game though. I think I would like to see the Vikings win just because they clearly are the underdawgs. And, Pederson is an amazing man and football player. That being said, I’m picking Rogers and the Packs here. Going to a game at Lambeau Field is on my bucket list.
Colts vs Ravens: This is a tough game to call. It could go either way. The Ravens are a solid team, but they have delivered less than solid performances. The Colts are just the surprise of the year for me. A pleasant surprise. I am still picking the Ravens here. Experience and home field advantage are swaying my vote, but the Colts are hot and I will not count them out until the clock shows zero. Andrew Luck is fun to watch. Watching the Ravens is a bit like watching the Cowboys. It’s hard to predict. I’m picking the Ravens for the win.
Seahawks vs Redskins: Damn, this is the game of the week! It is hard for me to even choose alliance here. I really love RG3 a whole lot, and I have a lot of friends in DC. And, I have some redskins gear from some of those friends. But, I have always loved the Seahawks for some reason. Their fans love them no matter what. They have fun at the games, and they are on my bucket list too. Their uniforms are clearly the coolest in the NFL, and their QB is one who is not supposed to be there. Now, all that aside, I will have a hard time rooting for either team, but I am choosing the Redskins for the win here. They are almost a dead even match statically. Washington has better stats in every offensive category except for time of possession and a small margin better on third down conversion. Defensively, the Skins exceed the Seahawks statistically in all but one category, rush yards per game allowed. Well, that will change with RG3 playing. And statistically, we all have one breast and one testes. So, realistically, I am selecting based on home field advantage and the heart of a lion leading the team with the heart of the elephant running the ball. RG3 is relaxed and still having fun too. Though I never count out Seattle, and I love Russell Wilson. If they were playing in Seattle, I’d pick them.
