I really don’t know Jerry Jones. I met him in a restaurant ironically the evening I became a Cowboy season ticket holder and the possessor of an overpriced private seat lease (PSL), which you have to pay in order to have the pleasure of purchasing tickets to the games in the seats on which you hold the PSL. Anyway, I love this pic but I honestly never have run into him since… Shout to Nona – my favorite Dallas restaurant where this pic was taken. Maybe Mr. Jones will actually read my blog since I included his picture.
It was said to me by one of my mentors, luck is nothing more than strategy and positioning. I swear I don’t know how Jerrah Jones made so much money. He seems like a blithering idiot to me. I think his may have been straight up dumb luck, as it were. I compare dumb luck to that of evolutionary random occurrences. But, if the dear old Mr. Jones wanted to do something really cool and stage a huge coup, plus make me a big fan, I have a plan.
First, position the Cowboys to pick up Andy Reid. He will be fired if not this year, next year. Garrett is an idiot, and much more replaceable than Romo. Strategically, the Cowboys are currently in no position to acquire a better quarterback than Romo, even though Romo is underperforming. We are not going to get a good draft pick if we start winning any games. The free agents are not any better than Romo, even at his current performance, and we’ve all seen brilliance in his play. No one can deny that, not even me. I think Andy Reid is a great coach and would fit in the fucked up Cowboy culture.
Second, bring on my favorite QB in the league, Michael Vick. Reid and Vick will be fired as a team in my opinion. Let’s take on that odd couple! Even with our current personnel, bringing Reid and Vick and losing Garrett and Romo will make a HUGE difference in the team. And at least when Vick loses, he does it with heart. He is fun to watch play. Romo is like getting your teeth cleaned. It’s great after you are done, but it is arduous and even painful process, and sometimes you walk out with a really bad taste in your mouth. Or keep Romo and still brang on the Vick! With a little competition, both of them would perform like they both can but sometimes don’t.
That would make the games fun again! Personally, I’m kind of dreading the Giants game…They are going to kick our ever loving asses in Jerry World! And, btw, while I’m offering up suggestions not late and not so great, Jerry Jones, go back to Reebok. You Nike stuff SUCKS! I have not spent one penny in the Cowboy store this year. I damn near broke myself getting all liquored up and buying all that shit over the past three years. OK. Actually, keep the current contract. Saves me money!
